It is an employer’s duty to protect the health, safety and welfare of their employees and other people who might be affected by their business. This includes providing sufficient information, instruction and training to employees to allow them to work in a way that does not put themselves or others at risk.
The law states that employers have a legal responsibility to provide adequate training for those who perform manual handling tasks in their day to day role. The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF) can be a regulated and nationally recognised qualification or as an attendance course is designed for those who work, in a role that involves manual handling.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. MHFA England training won’t teach you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to
listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis.
The aim of this course is to familiarise individuals with fire safety issues in the workplace, making them aware that a responsible person should be carrying out the fire risk assessment, and work with other competent persons to assist in fire duties.
APW Training Ltd are very grateful to have received funding from New Anglia Wider Economy Grant Scheme and the EUDF to help improve our management and training during the difficult Covid times we have all experienced. This has made a huge difference to the quality of meetings on various platforms and will make a great improvement, during the face to face training courses.
